Protect, Partner, Profit IP Workshop

Do you know how to best navigate the IP challenges for your start-up or spinout? Would you like to learn about how to deploy that IP for licensing or company creation? Join us for a half-day workshop with Dr Peytee Grusche and Andrew Chalet from Thomson Geer Lawyers, as they undertake a deep dive of how to protect and leverage IP for your commercialisation journey.

This workshop is best suited for very early-stage start-ups (within a few years of company inception) and researchers who are looking at translating in the next couple of years. This includes clinical researchers, university and industry start-ups, and health service provider (HSP) and Department of Health clinicians.

About the speakers

Dr Peytee Grusche is a Patent and Trademarks Attorney and Special Counsel at Thomson Geer Lawyers. She has extensive experience assisting clients in the areas of research and development, commercialisation of intellectual property, patent, and trademark and design registration and enforcement.

Peytee is also experienced in advising on commercial agreements including collaboration agreements in the areas of medical technology, biotechnology and agricultural biotechnology, licences of intellectual property, and information technology supply agreements.

Andrew Chalet is a Partner at Thomson Geer Lawyers and specialises in technology transactions, commercialisation of intellectual property, research and development, commercial agreements, joint ventures, company structures and information technology, with a particular focus on Life Sciences and Information Technology.

Andrew also advises clients on a range of regulatory issues including privacy and data protection, competition and consumer law, therapeutic goods regulation and gene technology regulation.
