This World Health Day, we celebrate WA organisations dedicated to “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures”

This World Health Day, we’re highlighting the incredible work being done in WA that fit this year’s theme, “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures.”

  • VitalTrace: A Perth Biodesign alumni company developing an innovative fetal monitoring device to improve outcomes for mothers and children during labour and delivery.
  • Pretect Devices Pty Ltd: A Perth Biodesign alumni company creating the Vedette®—a monitoring system that detects and prevents infiltration and extravasation IV line leakage in NICU patients.
  • Rare Care Centre: Launched in 2022 by the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) to support children and families facing rare and undiagnosed diseases.
  • The Kids Research Institute Australia: With over three decades of expertise, The Kids Research Institute is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of children through groundbreaking research, preventative treatment, and the quest to cure childhood diseases.
  • Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS): Serving children across WA, CAHS promotes lifelong health through community programs, hospital and health service support.

These organisations, alongside many others, are helping make WA a place where children can grow up healthy, supported, and empowered—positively impacting families locally and globally.
